My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Just a little sprite of a girl, Gem’s personality is larger than life. She seems to always be on the go and she’s as quick as a flash, so should be watched closely near an opening door. She loves to be outdoors and with a little encouragement, she will chase the visiting squirrels out of the back yard. She’s generously vocal, letting us know when she sees someone or something out of the ordinary. She gets along very well with other dogs, and seems to be afraid of cats. Because of her size, she’s a little intimidated by heavier dogs at playtime, but is a playtime fool with dogs smaller than she. Gem hasn’t shown much interest in toys (she’d much rather have her human’s undivided attention), but has been seen gnawing on marrow bones. She’s still not sure what to do with most snacks but she loves her liver treats. She’s mostly house trained, is a little skittish around quick moves and is sometimes hand-shy, but is really just a little sweetheart. Gem is being fostered in Auburndale, Florida in a PRIVATE FOSTER HOME but we allow our dogs to be adopted out all over the United States and Canada!
