Just popping in to say 'hello' to all my peeps out there who are keeping up with my progress. I am really enjoying my foster home. I've had time to learn the ropes and get to know both the resident Cairns. I have decided the big resident Cairn guy isn't so bad after all. And his girlfriend is just right up my alley. She and I play together but the big guy just sits around and watches. He's okay with me hanging out with her but doesn't really want much to do with me. He says I'm too energetic. Foster mom has been taking me on walks and working with me on leash training. It's hard for me to stay focused with so many squirrels around to chase but I really try. So many squirrels - so little time! Anyway, she says I have improved in just a few days. I know what the commands mean, I just have to get my brain around the idea of actually doing it. I also got in trouble on one of our walks recently because I barked and growled at the dogs that live around the corner. I didn't like the way they barked at me so I let them have it. Trouble is, foster mom let ME have it. She says I am not allowed to act that way so I have to learn to hold my tongue in the future. She actually let me run beside her on the bicycle a few days ago. I was doing great until I spotted that darned squirrel. I ran in front of the wheel and she had to slam on the brakes. But that didn't stop us! We got right back to it and went the rest of the way home. I think I did pretty good for a guy who has never done the bicycle thing before. It was fun and I loved running like that. She says I am going to make a great pet for the right family. I am not asking for much, just a family who has the time and energy to walk and play with me. I'm great at entertaining myself but I sure love the walks and runs. I am young and really need that daily exercise. I don't eat much and I'm in great health. I'm not crazy about baths but I'll learn to live with that too. In return for a good home I pledge to give you lots of love and great entertainment.
