My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, Abe here. WHEW, do I have a lot to report about! I have had such a wonderful week! This is my second week with my foster Mum and Dad. I had a bath and my foster Mum told me I was the BEST BOY EVER during the bath. I stood still, did not try to get out of the bathtub and even held my head up so the water could be poured over it. Then when Mum was getting the towel, I just stood in the tub and rested my head on the side. Gosh did I smell good! I was pretty dirty, and now my hair is very fluffy and soft and clean. OK, foster Mum has to come clean now that I am, she tried to cut my hair and there are a couple of rough patches now, but the hair is growing back nicely and I am still adorable. Mum and Dad are starting to let me go into the family room. I was gated in the kitchen the first week to let those other furkids, otherwise known as cats, get used to me and me used to them (there are 5 of them!) Anyway, I did extra good. I did not go after the kitty critters AT ALL. They are nervous around me so Mum and Dad are just gradually starting to let me into the entire house. I am the BEST WALKER, I don’t pull on the leash and if I do, all my foster Mum and Dad do is tug the leash and I slow my pace (they are a bit old and I need to remember this fact). The most fantastic development is that when I am walking and another dog barks at me, my foster Mum or Dad just says “leave it” and I don’t even look at the rude dog barking at me. My foster parents are going to start taking me to the dog park soon. I will stay on the outside of the fence to be around other dogs without threat. This will help me learn to be more social. It is very important my forever home has no other dogs though. I need to be the one and only. Even though my foster parents love me to no end, they know I need a forever home, won’t you please consider allowing me to be a part of your home? I will love you forever!
