My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Colonel Potter to the rescue again! The weekend before St. Patrick's Day of this year, CP was notified that a commercial breeding facility had a couple of Cairns that they no longer wanted. Included in this Pot'o Gold that we found at the end of our rainbow was a very sweet, little girl who was appropriately named Shelalegh. Shelalegh was given to CP because in her three young years of life, she failed to conceive. When she went in for her spay it was discovered that Shelalegh only had one uterine horn, or in essence - only half of her uterus. YAY, Shelalegh! She is healing very nicely and she has no problems with it at all.
Shelalegh is a beautiful black brindle with brown eyes. She has shorter hair right now because they had to shave quite a bit of her belly and the surrounding area, but I think she will have a beautiful coat as it grows in. She is doing very well acclimating herself to our house and our pack. Once she learned she was safe and could come out of her crate whenever she wanted, the smile on her face was almost visible! The first day she was allowed out of her crate to join the rest of the family, she was funny to watch because she would walk up to a toy, grab it, and very slowly and methodically put it in her crate. By the time she was done, her crate was full of toys and the other dogs were looking at her like she had lost her mind! She took all their toys!
