My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

They call me Big Red here I even though I am a bit underweight for my age. I’m 45lbs right now (and should be around 55lb – 60lbs). I am a low-key, loving, affectionate, sweet, neutered male, UTD on all shots who gets along with other doggies and kids. I had a really rough start, but fortunately for me, my rescuers saw who I really am inside and came to my aid to ensure that I will have a happy ever after! I was found emaciated with signs of physical abuse. I am afraid of thunder and lightning too and don’t do well living as a 24/7 outdoor dog. I am an indoor living dog who loves to bond with my human(s)! I think I am housebroken too. I am not high energy, I am not high maintenance, and I am not a counter-surfer. I do not jump on people, beg, drool, or shed and I am not a barker (unless I hear something late at night that’s out of place, I will alert you). My teeth are pearly white, I have no fleas, no ear mites, none of that nasty stuff strays usually have but I do have heartworm at the moment which is currently getting treated with the less aggressive approach which the vet started me on Doxycyline and then heart guard monthly to prevent new worms and allow the adults to die off slowly. (which btw, I am excellent when receiving medications and shots too!) I am a loyal doggie who is good on a leash and in car rides. I just want to be loved by my dedicated owner(s)! Kids love me and adult guys & gals dig me because I am their loving shadow who doesn’t jump, beg, or drool. Please see me! I am dying to be loved by you. Please make me a loving member of your home.
