My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**** BEN & JERRY IN WICHITA, KANSAS HAVE BEEN ADOPTED! ****

Who doesn't love a heaping bowl of Ben and Jerry's ice cream to soothe the soul? Well, our awesome little duo of Ben and Jerry are sure to do just that without all the extra calories, and with the extra bonus of offering free cuddles any time of the day or night! These two very laid back happy little guys simply love life, are guaranteed to put a smile on your face, and make your life more uplifting and meaningful each and every day!

Ben and Jerry get along great with the other pets (large and small) in their foster home, enjoy spending time with their foster family including their two teenagers, and cuddling on the couch and the big bed.

They are very smart learning basic obedience and how to walk on a leash, discovering the fun to be had with toys, and are completely crate and potty trained (although Ben and Jerry would like to add they would be happiest sharing the big bed at night, and they might have a few accidents in their new home until they learn the new routine).

These two magnificent boys are approximately 4 years old. They came to us a bit over weight, however they will be the perfect size for an active family when their weight loss goal is achieved.

Ben (the black Griff) is 22 lbs. His weight loss goal is 16-18 lbs. Jerry (the red Griff) is 17 lbs. His weight loss goal is 12-14 lbs.

Both are on a strict weight loss program, eating exactly measured portions according to their target weight goals, and their foster family is taking them on daily walks to help work off the excess weight. It won't be long before these two boys are all buffed out once again!

Ben and Jerry are neutered, up to date on vaccinations, had recent dentals, have been tested for heart worm (negative), are on monthly heart worm preventative, and are micro chipped.

We never place dogs in homes reliant on electric or invisible fencing to contain pets. Fencing of this type may or may not keep a dog in the yard, nor does this type of fencing protect pets from predators, free roaming dogs, or people who may enter the yard. Should there be a power outage, the fence would be rendered useless. If a pet were to panic and run through the barrier and take an electrical jolt from the fence, that pet would not be inclined to return home, and could be lost forever.

Please keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. However, if someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to drive or fly in to get the dog, and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough and small enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger. We never ship our Griffs or allow them to fly via cargo.
