My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fostered in Post Falls, ID

My name is Buddy! I'm an Australian Shepherd mix. Mixed with what? Who knows!  I love to be around people and other animals.  Talking walks or just hanging out with the family are great for me. I like to keep myself entertained by hanging with other dogs. It keeps me from getting bored. At night, I sleep quietly in my crate and you won't hear a peep out of me. I also go in there when my foster mom leaves. I don't mind at all. It like quiet time to myself every once in a while. When I first got here, I was so worried about everything. I paced quite a bit but I was quick to learn that it was a safe place where I could be myself.

This foster home has two female dogs who I love. I've been curious about cats in the area, but my previous home says I was fine with kitties. I would have to meet your felines to see how I felt about yours! When we go for walks, I walk pretty well but with more training, I'll hit that "excellent" area. I'm not picky at all, and so it will make training a breeze. Plus, I'm extremely intellegent.  Do you have toys? Because I love playing with toys. I'll keep YOU entertained all day long with my antics. Trust me on this. You won't be able to imagine life without me.

In my previous home, something terrible happened and I was abandoned... I ended up finding my way back home (and now I'm with Power of the Paw) but I somehow hurt my shoulder in the process of finding my way back "home." If I run a lot, I limp a little bit. However, Power of the Paw has taken me to the vet for it and it is something that I will likely heal from with time. It doesn't slow me down and rarely seems to completely bother me.

If you're looking for a cuddle buddy and someone who will love you like you will love me, head to http://powerofthepaw.org/adopt/dog-adoption-application/ and start the process! I can't wait to get this started!
