My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Riley is a super adorable little girl who we have just fallen in love with! She was rescued from a local kill shelter where someone adopted her, then brought her back to be put down instead of taking her to the vet for her UTI. She is GORGEOUS, playful and super friendly! She walks on a leash and is crate trained. Riley seems to gets along with all the dogs we have here and would probably be fine with cats. Riley is 5 months old and weighs 17.8 pounds. Riley does well in a safe, fenced yard for playtime and doesn't dig, climb or have any bad habits. This girl will be fully vetted and ready for her forever home very soon...but we are taking applications for the perfect home NOW! Riley is looking for an inside forever home where she will get lots of training and attention that she deserves. A big fenced yard is a plus and the adopter needs to have Border Collie experience and understand their level of activity. Adopter should also have dog training experience (have taken professional dog training classes or this will be required as part of the adoption process). No small children due to size, age and breed of dog. An ideal home would be someone who doesn't work so they can be at home all day with Riley. Could that be you? If you would like to make Riley a part of your family, you can contact us at info.caresga@gmail.com for an adoption application or you can download an app directly from our website www.caresga.org! A vet reference is required for adoption approval (this means you must have or previously have had a dog or cat so we can verify that they were sterilized, current on all vaccines and on monthly heartworm and flea preventatives). WE DO ADOPT UP NORTH and all over so just e-mail us for details! $400 adoption fee
Adoption fees for puppies are $300, adults dogs are $250 and senior dogs are $150. This includes each animal being current on age appropriate vaccinations including DHPPL, bordetella and rabies, de-wormed for any internal parasites (round worms, hook worms, tape worms and whipworms), tested heart-worm negative (if positive, they are treated), tested negative for tick borne diseases, spayed/neutered, implanted with a mini micro-chip and have been examined by a veterinarian to certify that they are healthy. All animals are also on a monthly regime of flea and heartworm medication. Lifetime registration for the micro-chip as well as 30 days of free pet insurance is also included in each adoption fee. In addition, each adopter will go home with a fitted collar, tags, a bag of dog food the pet has been on, Forti-Flora, and an adoption kit filled with valuable information and coupons as well as other various treats or toys as promotions become available. All puppy adoptions include a puppy training book, the Puppy Primer by Patricia McConnell, to help ensure a smooth transition for your new family member.
We ask that you consider an additional donation on top of this pet's adoption fee. This money will go directly into our Adoption Fund to be used exclusively for rescuing and caring for other pets in need. Many pets we take in have very high vet bills to get them healthy and adoptable for the public - much higher than their adoption fees. We receive no government funding and rely solely on donations from our community and caring adopters to continue our rescue efforts!
