Rescue Dog of the Day Kassidy
Spayed Female, DOB: 2/14/15, (18Months), Shepherd X, Red with black/white
Meet Kassidy! A sweet girl who has been in MANY homes. We know she started somewhere, and escaped. A nice family found her roaming the streets and took her in. She kept escaping and they could no longer continue to look for her, she would be coming to us. She escaped the day we were to pick her up, no where to be found. A week later, and 5 miles later, and volunteer of ours found her on the highway. She took her home and escaped within the hour. She is SMART!! She can open latches and jump short fences. After missing for another week, the animal control picked her up and she finally made her journey to me. She has been here for THREE MONTHS (May 2016) and adopted twice. First time, she decided she didn’t like cats. She DOES ignore them if they don’t bother her. Second time, We trained her to be a service dog, with great success, until she decided she only wanted to work with me as her handler. Instead of putting her through the stress, we have decided to let her be adopted as a pet, instead of a working dog.
Saying that, She knows A LOT of commands that would need to be perfected with the new adoptive family. She LOVES to travel and see knew things! She loves all kids, and people! She has never met a dog she didn’t love!! She will make the perfect addition. She needs a family as much as they will need her! She is house and kennel trained!
