Football commentators often discuss the “long road to the Super bowl”. For our Peyton (Manning), the Super bowl was just the start of his journey to a new furever home. Let’s not make his road a long one!
Peyton was hit by a car and found injured on the side of the road. On the day of the big game, when he should have been in a warm home watching the action on TV and hoping for snacks, instead he was in a crate at the city animal shelter, unable to even stand. He had some broken bones that would require multiple surgeries. What wasn’t broken was his spirit and charm. Every single person at the shelter fell in love with him, and they named him after the Super bowl hero. They were determined to save him!
Red Collar Rescue and Sav-a-Pet stepped in to help Peyton, and he has had his surgery and plenty of needed bed rest. Now that he's recovering, much like his namesake, he’s ready to play for another team (make that family!) Peyton's leg/hip has been repaired several times; however, he does not have full range use of his one leg. He would do best in a home that does not have a lot of stairs. A short step or two is not a problem, but long flights are difficult for him. He is a very gentle guy, who requires very little exercise. He has the sweetest nature. You're gonna want this guy on your team. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to meet him.
