Drake is an 18 month old Male German Shepherd. He is a big love bug! Looking for a home with family members that can spend time with him and not leave him alone while at work 8 to 10 hours a day. He just wants a family to love him.
He is fantastic with people, great with older kids, may be a bit too rambuncious with younger children We have not had him with kids under 13.
He is a very happy playful dog. He is fine with most other dogs. When he plays with smaller dogs he can get a little dominant nothing major but will need experienced dog owner to correct him if he starts this. He learns very quickly and takes corrections well. This would not be an ongoing correction would just be until he knows how to play with the dog properly. Probably best with dogs his size not small dogs then this won't be much of an issue.
He knows basic commands sit lay down come does well on a leash is housebroken and crate trained. Oh and he is even okay with cats. We have been working with him for a month and he is an all around great dog and will make a fantastic addition to any family.
Would prefer an experienced German Shepherd family that has time to spend with him loving on him and playing with him as well as continued basic training. German Shepherds can become strong dominant dogs if not with the right person who will continue to be their leader.
Also prefer some running room for play and a fenced yard. If you think Drake is the one for you please contact us to schedule a meet and greet asap.
Our rescue is also willing to allow a family to foster on a trial run with a minimum 2 week commitment to see how he fits in your family. We want the right fit for both dog and family. Home check Adoption Contract and Adoption Fee are required Adoption application will be provided upon request.
