Hello! My name is Maverick and I am a 5 year old German Shepherd. I came to Power of the Paw after I was picked up as a stray and brought to the shelter. My family never came to claim me and I found myself unwanted and homeless. Luckily, Power of the Paw told me I wouldn't be homeless for long, and I went into one of their foster homes.

While here, I have truly done my best to be the best dog I could be. And let me tell you, I've been successful. My foster mom says I am so sweet, laidback, and gentle. I get along well with the cats, dog and the kid that lives here at my foster home. I haven't had a single accident since I've been here, and I'm home alone while my foster mom works. I am crate trained and do well in the crate, so there's another thing about me that I know you'll just love. I also know "sit" "down" and "shake." I really have the intelligence of a shepherd and hope you will continue to work with me so I can keep my mind busy and learn new commands and tricks.

I'm considered a medium energy dog so I'll only need one walk a day to keep me happy. I do well on the leash but could learn a bit more manners, so let's walk so I can learn my boundaries here. Everyone wants a puppy, but just look at me! I'm already partially trained and you'll just adore me every second of every day.
