Sooner's Story...
Sooner is waiting for you to come rescue her! Our 6-year-old Doxie Mix would very much prefer you come and meet her- SOONER- rather than later! Yes we rescued this beautiful 23 pound gal when she was in harms way in a high-intake kill shelter. Now, she is safe, but waiting for someone to give her happiness the rest of her life. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm tested. She does amazing in a crate here at ITV and keeps it clean. Sooner is great on a a leash and enjoys a leisurely walk. She prefers to arrive later than sooner because she is super laid back. Sooner lives in chill mode and wants to enjoy life. She gets along with other dogs and cats. Sooner also loves kids and will be a great new family member if you are ready to adopt a forever dog. We know mature dogs are great companions and aren't all yippy like puppies. Sooner deserves a place to relax for the rest of her years. If you have wanted to rescue and want an easy set of paws to become your new best friend, please complete an application at Sooner is waiting, and with her own relaxed style of personality, is anxious to meet you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sooner, a Evansville Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Evansville, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Evansville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Evansville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Evansville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Evansville paves the way for another one to be saved.
