Raven is a spayed female purebred Labrador Retriever who is searching for her PERFECT match!
Raven came to our rescue through no fault of her own after living in Northern Quebec with her family her entire life. Raven is approximately 5 years old and full of love. Raven is typical to the Labrador breed and gets along with everyone she meets including all dogs, children and even cats.
Raven is being fostered with both large and small dogs and gets along famously with both. She is very sweet and playful with all that she meets. Raven is a little overweight so keeping her active is key to a healthy life; Raven is going on hikes every day to help maintain her weight loss regime. After receiving a hip surgery Raven put on some extra weight so we are looking for a home who is capable of maintaining her weight loss plan. Since the surgery Raven has been sound and shows no major mobility issues aside from her previous surgery. She can't run too hard or too long but is still very energetic and especially loves to swim! Raven is currently eating a fresh raw diet which is helping her to shed the extra pounds as well as maintain her healthy coat and joints. Shortly after receiving her hip surgery Raven could no longer keep up with the other dogs in her community and was bullied quite frequently. Raven suffered a stroke. The exact causes of the stroke are not known however she has had no issues since and is recovering very well. Raven has so much love to give, everyone who meets her falls in love immediately. Raven loves to be included in all aspects of her humans life so she will be seeking a like minded family.
Raven is looking for an active home who has a lot of extra time to spend with her. Raven would love to have another playful dog in the house but is not necessary. Raven needs a family who will continue to feed her a fresh raw diet to promote a long, happy and healthy life. Raven is very affectionate and loves to follow her people; she would do best with someone who would like to share adventures with her everyday!
