Hi! We are River and Brook and are about 5 months old. I’m River and I’m the one with the half brown face - we were living – well surviving - with our mom in Portland until some nice people saved us and convinced us that there really are wonderful people in the world!! We weren’t so sure before!
It’s been quite a journey – more for me as I’m the most distrustful but my foster parents have me pretty much convinced that living indoors with “people” has its definite advantages!! Regular meals, lots of toys and play time, snuggly beds and they’ve even convinced me that petting and being held – even for a short time! – is a good thing!! And did I mention treats?? Brook loves treats and will come running when she hears the bag being opened - I like them just fine, just prefer to bat them around and play with them first!
Brook was more easily convinced and she’s been snuggling and loving being petted for a little while longer than me - that’s ok - I let her check things out and if she says we’re good to go then I believe her! Brook is the more affectionate one and loves to be around people and play with them. She purrs up a storm and rolls over for belly rubs.
While I love to play also I’m a little more reserved and I still like it when its just her and me playing, but I have to admit I do love batting the ping pong ball back and forth with our foster dad.
We are ready to go to our forever homes - we don’t have to go together but it would be nice if we could. We are siblings and love each other and feel safe and secure when we are all snuggled up together! If you would like to come meet us let our foster mom know and I’m sure we’ll steal your hearts!
