My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

On August 15, 2016, this scared little girl was turned over to ARF.  Then some questions arose as to whether the person who turned her in actually owned her. After some efforts to get the whole story, we found that she had been an outside dog and that the other dogs in the home were large dogs. She had been given away, and the lady who received her concocted a story that Pipsqueak had been stolen from her porch!  (We suspect that she had promised to return her to the original owner if it didn't work out, but she couldn't bear to see her go back to the life she had. She probably imagined Pipsqueak shivering outside during the bitter cold winter months.)  Pipsqueak had never been on a leash, and she screamed when a leash was put around her neck!  She shook and shivered in her new surroundings with new people, but she never offered to snap or bite.  During her time with us, she has learned to walk on a leash and has become quite a diva, no longer shaking or submissive peeing, but wagging her tail and happy to see people.  She loves to play with other dogs, too.  She is a happy little girl who doesn't want to miss a thing! On 8/18/2016 she was checked by a vet, who gave her her DHLP and rabies shots. She is just over 1 year old and weighs 6.5 pounds. She returned to the clinic on 9/9/2016 for her spay and bordatella. She was such a good girl for the staff, and everyone fell in love with her. She loves to have her head rubbed and will put her little head in your hand to make it convenient for you!  This sweet girl hasn't been spoiled in her life, but she deserves some spoiling.  Any volunteers?
