My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

She really doesn’t have a name; we just call her “Yorki”. A young female Yorkshire Terrier, we guess she was born in 2014. She has a standard blue and tan Yorkshire Terrier coat. At 11 pounds, she is a bit on the skinny side and could stand to gain a couple of pounds. Yorki came to us from another shelter where she was being held with two other dogs. One was taken by another rescue and we took Yorki and her sister, 427, on 09/20/2016. We know nothing about their history but it is obvious both dogs have been bred. Yorki is a lively, lovable little darling. She uses the doggy door and weewee pads so house training to a normal home and schedule should be uneventful. Yorki gets along well with other dogs, loves to play and wrestle or just curl up and snuggle; especially with her sister, 427. She is also very people friendly and loves to cuddle. Yorki does not mind staying in a crate; in fact it is one of her favorite napping places. With her ever-wagging tail, she really treasures the lively attention of people; undemanding, she wants nothing more than to be loved and hugged, with toys and treats thrown in as a bonus!! She enjoys playing in the great outdoors (indoors too!) but keep in mind, Yorki is no couch potato lap dog, more than just a back yard, Yorki will need a home where she will have daily “on-leash” walks. Quiet and well-mannered, Yorki is a perfect companion dog. Whether you are single, working, retired, a family with older children and/or living with another small companionable young dog, Yorki would fit in. Healthy and well behaved, Yorki is spayed, microchipped, current on all vaccines, heartworm and flea/tick preventative, and she has had a complete physical and dental. The adoption fee for Yorki is $350.00
