My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LingTseah (lingsee) is a darling senior Shih Tzu. Animal Control contacted us because they had received a geriatric Shih Tzu that had been found abandoned in a carrier outside of a local shelter. She was very sweet, but very scared and confused being housed at animal control. The shelter didn’t want her back because seniors are too hard to place. We took her in because we believe she has a right to a chance at happiness. We know nothing about her background or her age but she is definitely a senior. Ling has a lovely non-shedding black and white coat, an adorable little Shih Tzu face and she weighs just ten pounds. LingTseah is housetrained but she is older and needs to get out more often. However, she will use wee-wee pads. She is a lap dog and loves being handled. She will sit quietly on your lap or by your side receiving gentle strokes down her back and listening to your words of wisdom or just companionably enjoying your favorite book or TV show with you. Some people are reluctant to adopt a senior dog because they fear that their time with their new companion may be short. But the reward that comes with caring for a senior dog makes every single day special. And the love that grows from the knowledge that you have given a fine old dog a second chance at life is stronger than the pain of eventual separation. To give this gift to an older dog is the greatest reward of all, but it does not compare to the gifts the old dog will give you every day of your life together. Before you fall in love with that puppy, consider changing this senior dog’s life and showing her that the world is an amazing and beautiful place filled with lovely owners just like you! LingTseah is spayed, microchipped, current on all vaccines, heartworm and flea/tick preventative, and she has had a complete physical and dental. Her adoption fee is $200. Please note: LingTseah is eligible for our Senior-to-Senior discount.
