Cookie's Story...
Meet Cookie! She is a 5 year old min pin/rat terrier mix. Cookie is shy when meeting new people, but when given the chance to get to know you she becomes very friendly and loving. She is much more comfortable around women and children than she is around men. She is house trained and crate trained. Cookie does well with children and she likes to play with them. She allergic to grass so she is not able to walk on grass or she will break out into a rash. Cookie is so adorable and really enjoys her belly rubs. She would be a great candidate for obediance training because she is a very smart girl and learns quickly. She is just so sweet and loves to be held and cuddle. She is great with other dogs. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cookie, a Portsmouth Miniature Pinscher/Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher/Rat Terrier for sale in Portsmouth, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher/Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Portsmouth.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portsmouth already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portsmouth breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher/Rat Terrier breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher/Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portsmouth paves the way for another one to be saved.
