Rocky's Story...
Rocky is a playful, 10 month old Pittie mix looking for his forever family. He is a big, goofy boy with an even bigger personality! Rocky is full of spirit, and loves to play with toys! He is friendly with other dogs, but still needs socialization with a variety of pups to help him practice polite play/good doggie manners. Rocky also appears to be good with cats. We have not yet had him around kids, but Rocky should be good with them. He is the kind of dog who rubs himself on your legs to show affection. Rocky is a really good kisser, and enjoys belly rubs. He needs some obedience training, and guidance on how to mature in to a well mannered dog. Right now, he is all play, with a very short attention span. He has a strong will to please, and tries very hard to do his best! Rocky's adoption fee is $160 and includes his vaccines, deworming, fecal exam, heartworm test, registered microchip, and neuter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky, a Joliet American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Joliet, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Joliet.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Joliet already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Joliet breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Joliet paves the way for another one to be saved.
