Maggie is an incredibly sweet purebred Bichon Frise who was turned into a Chicago area shelter after being found wandering stray. We estimate her to be between 2-3 years old. She was disgustingly dirty, horribly matted, not coping with being in a shelter environment and heading towards a scary fate. Her ‘before’ pictures are posted now so stay tuned for the ‘after’ photos in the coming days. Luckily, a member of our organization noticed her and decided to pull her into our program. Maggie has truly blossomed in her foster home and loves attention from her foster mom and dad. When she sees her favorite people, she stands up on her back legs and walks like a human until she’s given attention. She really just wants and deserves a loving home to give her everything she’s been missing out on. She’s not a total couch potato as she loves to sniff around and be curious but she also loves to cozy up on a warm lap. She has not been mingled with her fur-siblings as they are gigantic Dobermans so we aren’t sure how she would do with other dogs. Small children are too unpredictable for her but she would probably be okay with teens in her forever home. Maggie is quiet and loving and would be fine in an apartment, condo, or detached home. She doesn’t fully understand the leash concept but can easily be trained. Maggie is a sweet little girl who hasn’t had much luck thus far but ready to find love with her forever family.
