Lola's Story...
ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS!

A playful, happy girl that is a puppy in an adult body. Lola is ready to learn and picks up direction easily (albeit with a stubborn stare). She calms easily once she's exercised and run at full speed. She needs socializing and to be taught good manners. She loves to cuddle and will be a great buddy for someone willing to do the work. She has no aggressive tendencies but wants to investigate every cat and squirrel on walks. Even without training and socialization she loves kids of all sizes and seems to understand how to be calm around them. She's never knocked our three year old over nor jumped in the kids (although we're working on the no jumping on adults). She charges at adults and other dogs which makes her looks scary but once she gets to them just wants to say hi. Not cat tested.

Lola is a 1 year old 55# pit mix. Apps at savinjuice.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lola, a Salem American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Salem, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
