Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Update 10/20/16 NC Hunter is an adorable 5 year old, 4
.9 pound Yorkie boy. He is being fostered near Winston-Salem, NC.
NC Hunter's adoption fee is $450 and includes all vetting (neuter/spay, dental cleaning, immunizations, microchip and chip registration). A Vet reference, personal references, and home visit are required for adoption. You may apply to adopt NC Hunter by going to our website at www.unitedyorkierescue.org and completing the adoption application located on our home page.
Little NC Hunter is adjusting nicely in his new foster home. He is so very busy; there are so many trees in foster mom’s back yard. Hunter is doing great with his bellyband. He is fine in his crate as his size prohibits him from being left out with the ‘big dogs’ during the day. He is ready for his person at lunch and workday’s end.
Hunter is happy and loving, always excited to see foster mom, any mom, just so it’s a mom that will pick him up, hold him, kiss his little head and carry him out to see the trees again. He enjoys the outside and stays close to his person as he explores. He is a very curious little boy and everything is so big to this little guy. He enjoys the company of the other pups and gets along nicely. He is still shy when the ‘big dogs’ get rowdy at play, but you will catch him sitting on his cushion watching them.
Hunter is just a little love bug and enjoys watching TV in your lap on a soft blanket. He’s very receptive to snuggles and kisses.
NC Hunter gets along with foster home pups, however due to his size and his demeanor; I would not recommend Hunter for a companion of an older male dog that has been an only dog in his home. Hunter is small and an older dog could resent Hunter’s presence and a serious injury could happen quickly. Hunter would be a great companion for a young female or possibly a male close to his size.
Hunter’s vet check was perfect, and although his last dental required an antibiotic due to some extractions, he has finished his meds and all is well in this little Yorkie’s mouth. Hunter is also up to date on all of his shots and vaccinations. A bath and a little trim got rid of the matted hair and now he smells fresh and clean. So, Hunter is all ready for his forever home.
If you would like to adopt this sweet little love bug please complete our on line application, you won’t be sorry.
