Betty is an affectionate girl with a lively temperament. She always wears a sunny smiling face; she is loved by everyone who has met her. Betty is quick in learning and aimed to please; she’s potty trained and has mastered some basic commands. Please watch her videos to see how much love and affection this jolly girl can bring to your family!

About Betty’s rescue:
Betty was deserted at a high-kill shelter. Dogs in there were destined to be put down if not adopted within 12-days. Betty is a beautiful young pup, very loving and cuddly by nature. She did not get much interest from prospective adopters mainly because her right front leg was a bit lame. Thankfully, the rescuer bailed her out with the hope to find treatment for her leg.
An x-ray showed her right front leg had been impaired before but the bone already healed and is beyond fixing. The vet’s prognosis is that it’s not going to affect her mobility and normal functions. Betty is a perfectly healthy pup; she can walk, run, and jump just like any normal dog.

Betty has been vaccinated, spayed, and passed negative on her blood tests. She is ready for a forever home. Please give this sweet girl a chance for a happy dog life!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Betty, a San Mateo Collie/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in San Mateo, or seeking a Collie/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in San Mateo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Mateo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Mateo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Mateo paves the way for another one to be saved.
