My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! My name is Phoenix! I was surrendered by my owner to a rescue group. I am a male shepherd mix and I was adopted when I was about 4 months old. I am now 4-5 years old and 46 lbs. At home I am the sweetest dog that you will ever meet, I love to cuddle, take naps and I will do anything to please my owners. I love going for walks and runs. However, I am a bit fearful and I am startled by loud, unfamiliar noises. I take a minute to warm up to strangers, especially men. I am neutered and current on all of my vaccinations. I have been boarded multiple times and do well with other dogs, but I am selective on my property. I have not been around children or cats. I was surrendered because I nipped at a few people in the past. I spent time at a doggie “boot camp” learning how to sit, stay, place, come, quiet and leave it. My owners would like to keep me and work with me but with their first child born they simply could not give me the time that I need. At this point, the local humane society where I lived said that they would put me down if I am brought to them, so my parents found Paws and Tails Lifetime Companions to help me find my fur-ever home.

Thank you.
