LOLA
Spayed female Apricot Toy Poodle 2-1/2 years old 9 pounds
I am a petite (9 pounds only) little girl with soulful eyes and a very sweet disposition. I am a creamy color with bits of apricot here and there. My tail was never docked, so I have a lovely “natural” tail to wag for you! The combination of my looks and my disposition means that you will surely fall in love with me. My foster mom certainly did, but she has three dogs already, so I am looking for a new forever home.
I get along well with my foster mom’s dogs and even her cat – but she does feed me separately from them because I can get upset if any of the other pets bother me while I’m busy eating! Other than that, all four of us are the best of friends, so don’t hesitate to come to meet me just because you have other pets. If your other pets are chickens, however, I do like to chase those! My foster mom has chickens and she really doesn’t like it if I chase them, but it’s hard to resist! I mean, I’m a poodle and those are birds, so what does anyone expect!!
I have to confess that I’ve never been taught about the things that humans want dogs to know, so you’ll have to teach me. I love attention and people, though, so I know I will do well at learning if I have a nice teacher that believes in positive reinforcement. My foster mom is working on crate training and walking on a leash, and responding to commands (“come” is a really hard one and I’m not the best at that). I’m making some progress already, but I know I have a ways to go, and I promise to try really hard if you take me home with you.
If you will contact the people at poodle rescue they will put you in touch with my foster mom and we can meet. I think that if you are looking for a petite companion and you meet me, my search for my forever home will be over and you will take me home with you to live happily ever after. So please do arrange for us to meet soon.
Dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoption.
The necessary first step to inquire about any dog, is to complete the NCPR Adoption Interest Form. Once we receive the NCPR Adoption Interest Form, a volunteer will contact you promptly.
