REGGIE's Story...

MEET BABY REGGIE! Reggie is an absolutely precious, 2.5-lb (about 7 lbs at maturity), 14-week-old (DOB 8/18/16), tricolor Shih Tzu who was purchased from a breeder by a woman for her 80-year-old mother. While the woman was at her mother's house, she noticed that Reggie was limping. She took him to a vet, who told her that he had neurological issues. She decided that that would too much to deal with, so she contacted us, threatening to have him put to sleep. "Absolutely not!" we said, "bring him to Lhasa Happy Homes!" A short trip to our vet later, and it turns out that Reggie just had a broken leg!

Reggie is a typical, playful puppy... You'd never know that his leg was broken! He loves playing with toys and other dogs! He has razor-sharp teeth and likes to chew on fingers and toes. He MUST go to a home with another small, playful dog who can show him the ropes of being a dog. His foster family is working with him on his potty training -- but being a baby, he can't hold it for long! He was the runt of his litter, and we think he won't weigh more than 7lbs at full growth.

Reggie will be adopted with a spay/neuter contract including a $200 deposit, to be refunded upon submission of neuter certificate. He will be fully healed and available for adoption on 12/11/16. Reggie will be adopted in the Los Angeles area only.

Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID

If you are interested in adopting a pup from Lhasa Happy Homes, please complete the Adoption Application before calling. We will contact you once it has been reviewed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

REGGIE, a Los Angeles Shih Tzu puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Shih Tzu puppy from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
