Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ADOPTION PENDING

Hello there! Thank-you for clicking on my profile - let me tell you a little bit about myself so that we can get to know each other better.

My name is Louise and I came to the great folks at NBS Animal Rescue when I was found wandering the streets and ended up at the local shelter. It was a pretty scary time for me - but since coming into my foster home things have been looking up for me! Let me tell you a little bit about myself so that we can get to know each other better.

I am a 1 1/2 year old spayed female Yorkshire Terrier mix who weighs about 13 lbs. I am a social little lady who LOVES being around people I trust...or meeting new people who are slow and gentle and have treats! I can be a bit timid at first around new people - but it's the darnedest thing - new people almost always have treats for me - I'm loving meeting new people now! I get along with most other dogs who are friendly and low-key. I like to play with my foster brother every now and then and am known to toss a few toys around or carry one around with me to my doggy bed every now and then.

My foster parents keep encouraging me to do my personal business outside - which I'm learning how to do quite well my foster mom says. I don't know why I can't use the potty pads in the house, but it seems to make my foster parents happy when I potty outside so I'm learning! As long as my foster parents take me out on a regular basis I think I'm going to get the hang of it!

I am good on a leash, and enjoy going for walks or even some short jogs. My favorite past time of all is snuggling on my foster parents laps and spending time with them. I would really really really love a fur-ever home where my family was home often and I didn't have to spend many hours alone. It makes me sad when my family goes away so I would really love to be in a home where my people could spend lots of time snuggling with me. My foster mom says I would make a great companion for a retired couple or person who was home frequently as despite my young age I'm not a hyper dog - playful at times and always up for a walk, but not hyper.

I haven't met a lot of kids before because my foster family doesn't have any but my foster dad said that I would probably do well with most kids over the age of 9. I've also never met a kitty cat before - they might be quite interesting so I'm not sure I would want to live with one.

My friends at NBS Animal Rescue are helping me to find the perfect fur-ever home for my needs. I am looking for a home that has all of the following things or a family with a plan in place to help me with the things I need below. Not all of my friends here at NBS Animal Rescue need the same type of home, so if I might not be the perfect fit for your family please visit the pages of my friends and see if they might be a good fit for your family. If your home might be a perfect fit for me, please visit www.nbsar.org to fill out an online adoption application.

- Family gone no longer than 4 hours at a time per day or detailed plan on adoption application for daily dog walker / doggy day care plan.

- 100% fenced yard preferred - or detailed commitment on adoption application to do several walks per day.

- Kids must be at least 9 years of age.

- Please no apartments or attached condo's as she can bark when crated for long periods of time.

My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes a DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine (age appropriate), heartworm test (age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food.

Do you think I might be the perfect addition to your family and want to meet me?? Please:

1.) Visit www.nbsar.org to fill out an online adoption application and we will start processing your application right away! We do require that persons interested in meeting me apply online and be approved as an adopter first so please visit our website and submit your application today!

2.) Call your veterinarian and give them permission to release information about your current and past pets veterinary history.

3.) Call your references and let them know to expect a phone call from an unknown phone number as they will be speaking with a member of our team as a personal references.

Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on it's vaccinations and heartworm preventative as well as spayed/neutered unless there is a documented medical reason on file with your veterinarian. Dogs must be current on Distemper DHPP combo vaccine and Rabies vaccine, cats must be current on Distemper and Rabies at the time of application. This also applies to any pets in your home within the past five years.

While I hope that you have fallen in love with me and will fill out an adoption application right away, I understand if I might not be the perfect pup for your family. Would you please help me by sharing my picture and information on your Facebook page, or e-mail to your friends and family members? I'm a great pup and I really deserve a loving family to give all of my love and puppy kisses to! Thank-you for your help!
