WAVY (R)'s Story...
Say hello to the sweet and adorable Wavy. She came to the shelter as a little lost girl on 11/20. Although she had ID her family chose not to come for her. She has been taught the basics and maybe more. She sits, stays and lays down when told. Wavy will sit so quietly in her run in the shelter you do not even know she is there. Wavy is 2 years old and about 35 pounds(if that). She is current on her vaccines, will be spayed, tested for heartworms and micro-chipped when adopted. Wavy is waiting to meet you in run 300 in the small dog room and her ID# is 590477.
When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

WAVY (R), a Marietta Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
