Ginger's Story...
Name: Ginger
Breed: Heeler mix
Age: Adult
Gender: Female

Ginger is a petite 25 pound female Heeler mix with gorgeous eyes, and she knows how to use them. She is shy, acts as though she's been mistreated in the past and expects someone to hurt her... in spite of that, she's super gentle and loving. Ginger is doing well with house training, crates quietly for the workday, enjoys following other dogs and learning from them. She's good with cats and wags her whole body when kids are nearby, although hasn't lived with young kids. She'd do best in a home with a yard, and a patient adopter to help work her through her shyness.

Requirements: No special requirements

You can email with questions and for a preadopt application. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated as age appropriate, tested for heartworm disease if age appropriate, and dewormed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ginger, a Minneapolis Blue Heeler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Blue Heeler for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Blue Heeler dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Blue Heeler breeders who help with Blue Heeler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
