My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ronni is a female Mountain Cur found wandering in a rural area, starving. Ronni was taken into foster care in late July. She was in pretty rough shape but is now de-wormed, spayed, vaccinated, has been treated for heartworms and is healthy. We think she's 5-6 years old, so she's young enough to like regular activity, but mature enough to settle next to you and is past all the destructive puppy behaviors. Ronni is a sweet, extremely affectionate girl, who is friendly with all people she meets. She would do best as an only dog, as she prefers not to have competition for food or her human's attention. However, she could live successfully with a large, low-key male dog, who would allow her to be "alpha". She does fine with the household cat (who apparently is not viewed as a competitor). She is house-trained and crate-trained. She knows how to walk on-leash and rides well in the car -- just jumps right up into the hatchback. Although Ronni is not terribly skittish, she is fearful of thunderstorms and loud noises. She likes to have as much contact with her human as possible. She loves being petted and hugged and greets exuberantly. Although she does kennel when asked, if allowed, Ronni would love to sleep in the big bed with you. She is a true companion dog, who wants nothing more than to be with her person and to be treated with kindness. This is a courtesy posting. This dog is not affiliated with P.S. I Love You! Animal Rescue but is fostered by another party. For more information, please contact Janel Miller at dogrefuge@gmail.com.
