My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Well hello! My name is Bear, and I'm a handsome Bombay/ black DSH mix fella who was born in June 2016. I have the typical Bombay mix's sleek, patent-leather coat and copper-penny eyes. However, I have the cutest white spots on my paw pads as if I had dabbled in some paint.
I got my moniker because my foster mom says I growled like a bear cub when she first rescued me. My siblings and I were in pretty bad shape when she found us in an abandoned shed. However, you can see, because of her TLC, we have become healthy and handsome kittens.
I like to wrestle with my twin sister Milly as well as my other siblings Finnegan and Liam. I'm the smallest of my littermates, but I have no trouble keeping up with them. However, I'm not fond of dogs. When I need a nap, I look for a cat tree or curl up on mom's bed because I'm not a lap cat yet. I'm still shy that way, but perhaps you're the right lap for me!
As much as I like my foster home, I am ready for my lifetime home of my very own. It would be great if someone wanted a matched set and would adopt both Milly and me because two is always more fun than one, but we can also be adopted separately. I'm sure that after you watch the attached YouTube video that appeared on Animal Planet or Google 'Cats 101 Bombay,' who will want to scramble down to meet me (and Milly, for that matter!).
Please don't be superstitious of black cats! Buster's Friends makes a concerted effort to rescue black cats and kittens from shelters because they are five times more likely to be euthanized than any other color of cat. However, many people who have previously had a black or Bombay mix cat end up adopting another one because they seem to have such wonderful personalities and are emotionally stable and well balanced.
Bear is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for his indoor-only home. No de-clawing permitted. His adoption fee is $125 for kittens 9 months old and younger, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Bear, and we can let you know exactly where you can meet him.
To make the process more efficient, download the adoption application at http://www.bustersfriends.org/catadoptionapplication.shtml. First save and then open it; then you can print it and fill it out.
