My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Petunia.

She is one big, blue, beautiful girl. Petunia was found wandering the streets in North East Houston in March, 2014 where she was most likely dumped after nursing a litter of puppies. Her rescuer saw her dodging cars at a busy intersection. She pulled into a gas station and called Petunia over. She offered her some food but all Petunia wanted was a ride out of there. She hopped into the car and was ready for her freedom ride.

Petunia's rescuer fell in love with her and decided she wanted to keep her make her a part of her own pack. After trying to integrate her for the past 1 1/2 years she has realized this will never work. Petunia is very dog selective and needs to be an only dog

Petunia is a 3 1/2 year old American Staffordshire terrier. She's a big, muscular girl weighing in at 70 lbs. She is absolutely stunning and loves all the attention her beauty earns her.

Petunia LOVES humans. She has never met a stranger. She happily greets everyone with tail wags and a big smile. She also enjoys going on car rides. She sits at attention in the passenger seat taking in all the sites. She goes to work with her rescuer every day and is very well behaved at the office.
She adores her rescuer and wants to always be by her side. She lays in her lap any chance she gets and is one of the best bed buddies ever. About the only thing she likes more than her rescuer is food. This girl loves to eat.

Petunia has completed basic obedience training. She knows sit, stay, down and walks well on a leash. However she is the type of dog that if given an inch she will take a mile. Her new owner will need to understand the importance of making her mind her manners. She is crate trained, housebroken, fully vetted and microchipped. All she needs is a forever, loving home.
