My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Leo is like canine sunshine, a rockstar dog with a heart of gold.

This sweet, silly face belongs to Leo, also known to everyone who meets him as The Goodest Boy.

One of the most striking and endearing things about Leo is his good nature, a trait that has shined through since we first met him. Despite arriving at I Once Was Lost Animal Advocacy quite some time ago from living in a pretty scary and precarious situation, Leo is always smiling and ready for what's next.  He loves to play, thinks toys area great, and will do just about anything for a tasty treat. In fact, he's one of the most trainable pups we've ever met!

Leo's an affectionate boy who wears his heart on his sleeve. In fact, there's not much this adorable and hilarious pup does with subtlety! We think Leo would make the perfect running or walking buddy and we've learned that he's also a top notch couch cuddler. Not only does he ride beautifully in the car, he makes a ridiculously charming passenger and sits like a person in his seat while gazing out the window and taking in all the scenery.

Leo has been in training with our friends Dog Possible and they can't overstate how wholeheartedly they believe in him and how impressed they've been with his temperament and the quickness and enthusiasm with which he learns. Leo's a young country dog and much of the world is new to him but with his human by his side, there's nothing he can't conquer. Leo is now in a foster home and is doing wonderfully adjusting to city and indoor home life. He's truly earned his title as The Goodest Boy.

Leo is available for both adoption or foster to adopt and comes with training support to help set him up for success in his transition home to stay. He is about 3 years old, neutered, healthy, heartworm negative, and will need a cat free home.

If you’d like to learn more about Leo or set up a time to meet him, contact us or email his trainer at amy@dogpossibleaustin.com.
