My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Winston is a great dog who has had some bad breaks. He was adopted by a single woman who became the center of his world. Then she married a guy Winston did not like, and had a baby he liked even less. He was surrendered to us and adopted by an elderly woman who lived alone in the country and traveled some. Life was perfect again. Then she moved to group housing, and Winston was taken to the lobby and activity rooms where there were a couple of unstable men who had a dislike for dogs and used to kick at him or try to hit him with a cane. Since no one was keeping him safe, he had to protect himself, and he took to snapping at those men. For his on protection he as surrendered back to us. He has been in foster care for 2 months and has been an absolute love bug. He even likes the daughters boyfriend, but he is a dog lover and understands the past issues. He is 7 yrs old, and a total sweetheart.

Given his history, I think he needs a home with Westie experience and no small children. He would also do best as an only dog. He will need patience and careful handling to make sure he gets off to a good start, but once he understands he will always be safe with you, he will be your best dog ever
