My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you would like more information about Balzac or are interested in adopting him and his sister, ChouChou, please send an email to jan.hester@att.net or contact this number, 713-398-4779

Balzac and his sister ChouChou must stay together. I’m helping a friend find homes for them. It’s a long story, but suffice it to say this has been a painful decision for her.

I rescued these two in 2004 when they were about two weeks old. I had taken in a nursing mother and her litter two weeks earlier, so I took a chance and threw them into the mix. It worked.

Named after the great French writer, Balzac is an energetic, lovable guy with a big personality. He loves to go outside, and right now he’s unhappily stuck in a high-rise apartment. Both cats are very well socialized, friendly and adore each other. This doesn’t mean there are no conflicts. They are, after all, cats. Both would be perfect in a quiet home with no other pets. They would probably do well with a calm dog, but I wouldn’t place them with young children or other cats.

Please call me if you would like to meet them or just ask me some questions.
