Chai's Story...
One of our Saving Southern Kitties volunteers builds catios as a side business, after building one for a lady who had taken in a feral colony with all city/neighborhood approvals, a neighbor caused trouble and the county made her move the cats. Long story short, our volunteer went to help disassemble her catio and learned several of the cats were not feral cats at all but incredibly sweet and loving and crave attention. Our volunteer agreed to foster these kitties until they could find their forever home. Chai is one of these lucky kitties.

Chai has received all age appropriate vetting and care.

Please like and visit Saving Southern Kitties Facebook page for an up to date list of adoptable kitties. Saving Southern Kitties has the most comprehensive vetting standards for adoption. Please visit our kitties at the Rivergate Petsmart in Charlotte and join us for our adoption event every Saturday. An application is required.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chai, a Tega Cay Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Tega Cay, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Tega Cay.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tega Cay already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tega Cay breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tega Cay paves the way for another one to be saved.
