My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 3 years
Gender: Male
Color: L&W Tricolor
Weight: 50 lbs
Variety: Field

Piper is as sweet as he is energetic. He loves people, and he likes to play and run. Piper's family didn't have the time or space to give him what he needs to live a full and happy life, so they reached out to ESRA for help in rehoming this handsome boy.

Piper's ideal Forever Family will be active and will provide him lots of room to exercise as he loves to be outside chasing squirrels and running. He could benefit from some training work. This will help him understand what is expected of him and will strengthen the bond with his new humans. It should be enjoyable to participate in such training with Piper, as he is a fast learner! He will also benefit from the intellectual and physical stimulation that this and other similar activites provide.

Because Piper is uncomfortable around young children, any kids he encounters should be at least thirteen years old. Piper does well with dogs once he gets to know them. At first he's a bit nervous, especially around larger breeds, so he will need some time to acclimate to other dogs in his home or public spaces.

This charming family dog is ready to be showered with attention, and he promises to return your affection with loyalty and love! Piper will make a fine addition to some lucky home, so if you think your family is a good match for him, please contact his case managers right away at the e-mail address below.

Please note that an approved adoption application is the first step in a more thorough interview process that is designed to match each dog to exactly the right family, and that the final decision rests with the dog's case manager.

Please read the Adoption FAQ and get an Adoption Application approved before inquiring about Piper.
