Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I"But that don't worry me none in my eyes you're everything I laughed at all of your jokes my love you didn't need to coax Oh Maggie I couldn't have tried anymore You lured me away from home 'cause you didn't want to be alone You stole my heart I couldn't leave you if I tried." 'Maggie May' by Rod Stewart
We can't guarantee that our Maggie will share any jokes but we can say she's sure to bring laughter to your day and a perpetual smile to your face. Maggie is a gorgeous 6 month old mostly black Lab/McNabb Border Collie mix currently weighing 35 lbs. We doubt she will get above 45 lbs when fully grown. This sweet girl somehow ended up in a scary high kill southern shelter but thankfully she was pulled by rescue and placed in a loving foster home where she has been a shining example of how wonderful a formerly discarded shelter dog can be. Maggie has been a quick study, always eager to please, in learning all the do's and don'ts of living in a real home. She has already mastered her house training by way of letting herself out through a doggy door. She wasn't real sure about what to make of crate training at first (and who can blame her?) but now she will go to her crate when asked to. Maggie will happily show off her 'sit' and is just as happy to be rewarded with a treat. She is doing well with her leash training and continues to improve with time. She is smart, funny, loving, and playful mixed with just a pinch of initial shyness. This is pretty much short lived and overcome by her desire to interact and play. She loves to run around and play in the yard and will happily entertain herself in the house with her favorite stuffed toys. Maggie is very good with other dogs and quite likes her people too. She's not a clingy kind of pup rather she is quite content to be in the general area of her loved ones. This precious girl is already spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, current on preventatives, and micro chipped. She is ready to steel the hearts of her very own loving forever family (you won't need to coax the love of this pup). So if you think you just might want to lure this girl to your home and of course you'll never have to be alone, then we believe Maggie will be everything in your eyes.
