My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

10 years old.
Duke has lived almost his entire life with one family. When they had a child they tried for over a year to acclimate him but he just couldn't get comfortable. We found him a home with a family who had multiple dogs and after a time it appears he is just not able to handle a lot of commotion and he started growling at one of the new owners at times when approached on the couch. She became very uncomfortable and asked us to rehome him.
He's now with a foster in Oklahoma. Based on what they've told us we truly believe that Duke needs a home where he is an only dog or one with either a small dog or a very passive dog who will allow Duke to just chill. He is in the process of decompressing from stress that he's felt for a long time and his bio may change substantially but for now this appears to be what he needs.
One other factor is he reacts badly to anyone who has consumed more than a couple of drinks so needs to be in a home where alcohol consumption is limited.
