My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

~adoption fee applies, please email caarescue@gmail.com if serious about adoption~
My name is Ajax, I was released to CAA Rescue by my dad. Even though he loved me from the time I was a baby pup and it was hard for him to let me go he wanted me to have a better life.
My foster dad was happy to take me in and all the volunteers at CAA Rescue swooned about the handsome boy I am! & YES I really am very handsome with my deep brown gentle eyes
But I am a Big Boy weighing in at approximately 120 lbs, but you know what they say about big boys: They Truly are the Gentle Giants of this world! & I really am
In foster care I live with other dogs and we have a great time together: playing, walking, sleeping and off trail hiking in the woods and deep snow!
My foster dad also takes me for walks in an outdoor market so that I can continue to meet new people and be in new unfamiliar places and stay completely socialized.
I respond so well to my foster dad’s positive reinforcement. See I am a good dog and I was not given away because I was mean or bad. Life changes… but I can tell you I adapted really well and really fast to my new foster dad and I am sure I will do the same with my new adoptive family.
At this time in foster care I show no signs of possession or aggression
I have not been tested with children in foster care but in my previous life I was around them but due to my size I would like to have respectful dog savvy children in my life. No riding on my back playing My Little Pony!
I have never been around cats but currently show no signs of prey drive since joining my foster dad in CAA Rescue.
I can be left alone for a normal work day without any anxiety or destruction but you may come home to a slobbered up sock but really Whose Fault Would that BE?! You cannot leave stinky socks out and not expect me to show them some loving ;)
I am just a big guy who really is looking for a family to commit to me for all my days. Leaving my dad was hard, leaving my foster dad will be hard too and I don’t think my soft mushy heart could take falling in love with someone again only to have to leave them. I am young, have been well cared for all my life and could potential live to 10+ years old. I need someone to commit to me for always, best friends for life, through thick or thin!

I am medium energy level dog. I am also pretty quiet as my foster daddy notes that since I have been with him I have not barked once!
I am house trained and leash trained.
With my adoption CAA Rescue will offer one free hour consultation and training session with certified trainer Scott Travers from Solutions Top Dog Training providing you are within 40 km of Montreal; any distances over 40 km there is a required $20 transport fee.
And one free grooming session for ME to make me smell all fruity with Lolli-Pawz in Saint-Lazare, Lolli-Pawz offers a calm, caring and compassionate grooming experience for your dog. Lolli-Pawz uses high premium products, cruelty free and biodegradable. Lolli-Pawz focuses on one on one service to make it more comfortable for your dog
