Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Available for adoption to experienced German Shepherd owners and/or working dog breeds (I.e Husky, Akita, Heeler, etc) ****ONLY****
Name: Regina
Breed: Purebred German Shepherd
Age: 4-5 (2017)
Temperament: Friendly, shy
Good with Dogs: Yes
Good with Cats: Unknown (can test for approved applicant)
Good with Kids: Yes, but older children preferred
Regina came to our shelter with Snow White after being neglected by their owner. They spent their lives on a chain where they did not receive the proper care, as well as, never experiencing what it was like to be a part of a home and treated as a family member. We are hoping to find someone/family who will truly love her and her and give her a second chance at a better life. She is a shy girl that needs to shown that people are not all going to be mean to her. Regina does well in adjusting to a home life environment. She is particularly fond of rope toys and treats. She is afraid of men; we truly believe based on her reactions that she was abused by a man in her past life. She very much loves women and acts like a puppy when she has met a woman that is patient and kind to her. She is crate trained and likes to run outside. She is VERY submissive to other dogs, regardless of the size of the other dog. She loves chicken! She rides very well in a car.

Peach County Animal Rescue is a rescue located in Fort Valley, GA. Our adoption fees range from $175-350+. On average, our fees are $250. Fees are higher for dogs that came to us with additional things like professional training (i.e. service dog, working dog). All of our dogs are fully vetted: up-to-date on annual shots, spayed/neutered and microchipped with a lifetime registration. We look forward to hearing from you!
