Baxter is an amazing dog. He just wants to be loved. He'll play catch with himself (hilarious), snuggle, walks well on a harness leash, loves pumpkin, and is my best friend. I'm heartbroken to have to find him a new home, but my living circumstances have changed and I am sadly moving to another state and can't take him with me. My children have grown, so with my work schedule, he doesn't get the attention he needs and deserves. Because he is missing the time and attention he was able to get when there were more people in the house, he has developed some separation anxiety. He behaves very well when I am home, and is very sad when left alone for long periods of time. He does not bark unless he's feeling anxious (alone for long periods of time.) This is a relatively new development and is not typical for him. He has been with me since he was a puppy (8 years ago) and has lived with kids, other dogs, a cat, and a pet rat. He loves them all. Please give him a loving home.
