Ellie Mae is an adorable, 6 year old, 7 pound Maltese who came to SCMR from a breeder.  Ellie Mae was no longer useful to them, so fortunately, she is now in a foster home, loving life with other dogs!   Ellie Mae is a sweet, happy girl who wags her tail all the time.  She loves to follow the other dogs around in her foster home.  She is happy in her dog bed or crate, or just being held.  She has learned that people are trustworthy and deserving of her love and affection.  Her beautiful, innocent eyes will just melt your heart. 

Ellie Mae is coming along exceptionally well with her housebreaking when she has a fenced in yard and is taken out regularly.  Since she has never been on a leash before, this seems to be the only thing to cause her anxiety.  She will put on the brakes if a leash is put on her, so she will need someone willing to work with her to learn what a great experience it is to go for a walk!  A home with a fenced in yard is recommended in order for her to feel comfortable enough to potty.  Ellie Mae was just fully vetted and had a dental, so she is in great health.  Ellie Mae is in Eastampton, NJ waiting patiently for her forever home.
