My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Patches is a sweet cat with a lot of energy. She is wicked smart, has a strong mischievous streak, loves attention on her terms, and she is just brimming with personality. We are sure her purrfect match is out there! She doesn't care for other cats or dogs. She is front paw declawed.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process, including a link to the application form, is described here: www.thecathouse.org/adopt. All cats and kittens have been spayed or neutered, tested for feline leukemia virus and FIV, microchipped, and are up-to-date on rabies and RCP ("distemper") vaccinations. To help facilitate adoptions we adopt only within a 200 radius from of Lincoln Nebraska and we cannot ship cats.

Go meet their pets

More about this shelter

The Cat House is a non-profit, no-kill shelter in Lincoln, Nebraska. We are a limited admission feline-only shelter. We began operations in 1998 to provide an alternative to traditional shelters. We only euthanize for pain and suffering, never to make space for more adoptable cats. We are an all-volunteer group. We exist entirely on adoption fees and donations. If you would like to adopt a cat, please see information about our process at www.thecathouse.org/adopt. If you would like to donate to help with our expenses, you may do so by credit card via Pay Pal on our website or send a check to our address. Local volunteers are always needed and welcomed. If you would like to volunteer, please fill out an application on our website.
