My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

~adoption fee applies, if serious about adoption please email caarescue@gmail.com~
My name is Summer and I was surrendered to CAA Rescue Foster Care because my care giver had health problems and could no longer take care of me. And while I was sad to say good bye to her I am really happy with my foster mom… but I think my nature is just to be a happy girl, living in the here and now!
I do live with other dogs and cats in foster care and I pay them no never mind, I am happy to have them around to me; the more the merrier I always say!
I did live for a couple of years with a Chihuahua and she used to pick on me a lot, always snapping at me when she was frustrated and bossing me around. I was very patient with her but I think I am happier now that no one is being mean to me.
I do enjoy my walks very much but I am a little over weight with a couple of pounds to lose so I can tire quickly. I will need a family who can work with me to shed the couple of pounds with a good high quality diet and build some muscle mass slowly so that I can enjoy longer walks especially for when the summer arrives.
It took me a couple of days to figure out the routine in the house with my foster family, to know when we were going for walks and where the door was to go do business outside. So I suspect my adoptive family will go through this transition with me again. Accidents the first week of my adoption should be expected as I learn the rules of the house and figure out how to let you know that I gots to goooooo make #1 NOW!! So I need a patient and gentle positive reinforcement family.
So far I am left alone uncrated for a regular work day with no destruction or anxiety and I have not been overly vocal in foster care. It is important to note though that even while my foster humans are away; me and my foster bro Lenny (also a CAA Rescue foster dog and you can read his profile here www.petfinder.com/petdetail/37029375?rvp=1 ) are together with the cats so while I am alone I am never really alone, alone.
I am a happy girl and friendly with everyone I meet; dogs, cats, people and while I have never been tested while in CAA Rescue with children but I have a feeling that my gentle nature would be kind around loving, respectful children. I do love to be loved!
I have only been in the car a little short time since joining CAA Rescue and while I was nervous for the first little bit I settled down after that for the ride quietly so I think the more often you can bring me places with you the better!
& while I am not a lap dog I am a cuddle bunny so lying or sleeping next to you where you can pet me all day and all night long is my most favorite places to be.
At this time in foster care with CAA Rescue I show no signs of aggression or possession with people or dogs
So I guess you are thinking “WOW Summer is PERFECT what is the catch?!?”
Well there is nothing really bad to say about me, I am a perfect Puglette who loves her breakfast, second breakfast, elevenses, lunch, Luncheon, afternoon snacksies, Dinner, Supper …. I LOVE my food almost as much as I love people!
Which probably explains why I am a chunky monkey and need to cut down on the daily meals and get exercising!
My foster mom has this to say about me: She is just happy! She is quiet, listen very well, and Loves all! She would make a perfect therapy dog! She will make a pug lover very happy!! She would also be good people who are not so used to the breed since she doesn't seem to have any health problems that are pug related (luxation, breathing problems..) I love her :)
