Madame Kovarian's Story...
Hi there! My name is Madame Kovarian ( a Dr. Who one eyed character) but most call me Kova! I'm almost two years old. I come from somewhere called 'Kentucky'. When I was saved I was pregnant. My eye was pretty bad off and they started me on antibiotics and eye drops which I tolerated ok. Then it was time for my babies to move on. The babies all found their furrever homes and are BEAUTIFUL now!! Well, now I'm told it's my turn!! Come to find out I had to have my eye removed and what was thought a bb from behind my ear. The vet realized that what damaged my eye was buckshot!! Yes, someone was shooting at me to actually kill me and not just injure me :( before I was saved and didn't want me to live through it!! Well now I'm all healed up and you can hardly tell I am missing an eye as I get around just GREAT and love to play and be loved on! I LOVE other cats/kittens and I'm sure I could get along with a cat friendly dog. My adoption fee is $70 dollars (isn't that a steal!!) If you are interested (And I'm sure you are). Please fill out an application at

All HART kittens and cats are vet checked, combo tested, spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and on flea and tick preventative.

If you are interested in any of our kitties, you must complete an online cat adoption application - Click Here. The application will put you in touch with this wonderful cat's foster family so you can schedule a meeting. Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Madame Kovarian, a Cincinnati Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
