My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mr Ernie. He is 8 months young Chihuahua/Shorthaired Dachshund/Miniature Poodle/Pomeranian mix whose interests include exploring, walking, cuddling and chewing on toys. He loves having toys to play with, so his new home will need to provide him with his own toys, bones, playtime, and some training to keep his mind and body healthy. This boy is house trained, somewhat leashed trained, has basic commands down, he gets along with most adults and most children. He likes to sleep with his human or near them.

He has a low prey drive and is curious about cats but not enough to say hi to them. Ernie likes to cuddle with you or lay down with you, wherever you may be or whatever you may be doing. He is a sweet dog even if he seems shy at first. Public places are not his favorite outings. Mr Ernie will want to be the boss if he is allowed so we recommend a strong leader to keep correcting this.

Ernie will be happiest when he can be a part of his person's daily activities. His family will need to be sure that Ernie feels like he is part of a close knit group. He is neutered, micro chipped, vaccinated, licensed and a complete health workup. Mr Ernie is still growing his fur on his body from the neglect he was rescued from. We have found lamb, duck and salmon work well for him or many of the limited ingredient foods. He will go home with his new family with all his medical records and DNA test results.

Are you looking to add a confident, silly, handsome, smart boy to your family? What about a social companion ready for adventures with you? Come see Mr Ernie! He is available for adoption through the Miss Gabriel Foundation.
