BAILEY's Story...
This adorable little girl is Bailey! Just look at that face with the ears! She is a young girl at just 10 months old and weighing about 41 lbs. He was turned into the shelter on 4/7/17 by his previous owners who said they were moving and could not take the whole family and poor Bailey drew the short stick. She is a little frightened right now, but is extremely sweet and well behaved. She will sit and stay when asked. She is current on her vaccines and reported to be GOOD WITH KIDS. Upon adoption she will be spayed, heartworm tested and micro chipped. Bailey's ID # is 595090 and she can be found in cage 330 in the puppy/small dog room. Come meet her today!

When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

BAILEY, a Marietta Welsh Corgi/Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Welsh Corgi/Basset Hound for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Welsh Corgi/Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Welsh Corgi/Basset Hound breeders who help with Welsh Corgi/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
