Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Timmy is a VERY cute 1 year old Shih Tzu or Lhasa mix. He weighs 13 pounds. Timmy ended up at animal control and was not reclaimed by his former owners. He is an adorable, sweet and calm boy. He loves affection and gets along well with other dogs. Timmy is crate trained and so far appears to be house broken, even though he lived in a small cage for more than a week at animal control. Timmy is not a noise maker, either. We haven't heard him bark yet and he is good in his crate at night
Timmy is listed as a no-kids dog because he is sensitive about this matted hair that needs to be combed. He will nip at the comb or the person combing him when it hurts. He will probably require professsional grooming, because a professional groomer will know how to groom a dog that resists grooming.
Other than that, Timmy has a sweet temperament. He arrived with a smooth head and body, but his lower legs were badly matted. We think someone may have been harsh in grooming the rest of his body, as the coat is thin--as though the matted hairs have been pulled out. That could explain why he is so touchy about having his legs groomed.
Timmyy has evolved into a masterful toy-tossing, romping, ready-for-play pooch. He gets along well with his foster dog-pals and will play chase and tug on one end of a toy while another dog tugs at the opposite end. Teddy chews on his nylabones and his playtoys, but never tries to chew on anything else. He's such a good boy!!!
Timmy will start your day with a smile. This little fellow will greet you with a doggie kiss, follow you everywhere and lay at your feet wherever you are. He was allowed to sleep on the bed with his foster mom, and he slept right next to her, curled into a little ball. When morning rolled around, Timmy greeted her with a big smooch to start the day. He is a beam of sunshine on a cloudy day.
Timmy has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and tested negative for heartworms. His adoption fee is $250.00.
